SARAYA’s Sustainability Report wins for a third consecutive year this prestigious award given by Japan’s Ministry of Environment and the Global Environmental Forum.
The Saraya Sustainability Report 2020 Japanese version has won the Environmental Communication Awards 2021 “Biodiversity Report Special Excellence Award”, presented through an online ceremony held on February 24, 2021. This award is jointly presented by Japan's Ministry of the Environment and the NPO Global Environmental Forum to recognize outstanding environmental reports. Saraya's sustainability report has received this award 3 times in a row, for the fiscal years 2019, 2020, and 2021.

The following description of our company was given as the reason to be awarded this recognition:
Although the sustainability report focuses on biodiversity, health, and well-being (in this case, particularly infectious diseases), it also makes it clear that the company has been fully engaged through its core business due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In response to climate change, the report declares the company's commitment to 100% renewable energy by 2050 and introduces new initiatives to tackle the problem of marine plastic waste pollution. The start of the report clearly states what the company is working towards, listing the current SDGs targets and company initiatives in a table of contents.
